Artist Mitch Liner demonstrates the steps in making a floorcloth and shares insights into creating modern designs. He will share with visitors the history of floorcloths, which originated in France in the 1400s and were originally made from ships’ sails. Inspired by quilt patterns, fabrics, and tile work, Mitch has updated the look of floorcloths so that they go equally well in modern or traditional homes.
